Using LG Smart ThinQ to Diagnose Issues with Your Appliances
Not everything is made perfect. Weather you just bought the newest and greatest appliance or if you have had your appliance for a couple of years, there might be a chance that you are going through some appliance malfunction. Don’t stress, appliances are complex and it is common to have a few hiccups. The good news is that we are here to give you a few tips on issues with LG.
LG has made a great app that can help you figure out what the problem is with your smart appliance. Search and download the “LG Smart ThinQ” app from your phone or tablet. Once you have downloaded the app, create and login to your account. Make sure to register your appliances. You can now follow these steps to find the issue and fix the problem.
Refrigerators
-For refrigerators, place your refrigerator into lock mode.
-Next, hold the open sds app to the smart diagnosis logo on the top right hand side of the fridge.
-Once your phone is held up to the logo, hold the freezer button for 3 seconds until it beeps!!!
-Once you hear the beep, hit next on the app and record the beep. Once recording is done, it will tell you the problem with your refrigerator.
Washers and Dryers
-Open the Smart ThinQ app and click on laundry, then click on washer or dryer .
-On the washer or dryer, hold your phone to the sds logo, then hit next.
-Once that is done, for the dryer, hold the temp control down until it beeps. Then hit next to start recording. For washers, it’s the wash temp button.
-Your phone will then begin to record the beep, and once finished it will tell you what the problem is.
For other major appliances, the steps are very similar to these. You can use this app for diagnosis with products like dishwashers, ovens, cooktops, hoods, microwave ovens, Stylers, robot cleaners, air conditioners, air purifiers, and more.
If you do not have a product that has a Smart ThinQ or Smart Diagnosis logo sticker, your product might not be a smart appliance and cannot use the application to find your issue.
